Duterte questions Carpio, Del Rosario over WPS loss

President Rodrigo Duterte criticized retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio and former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario during his weekly address on Wednesday.

Duterte blamed them for the loss of territory in the West Philippine Sea during their time in government, despite the Philippines winning a case against China's claims at The Hague in 2016.

Carpio responded on Thursday, stating that he was not part of the Executive department and had recommended taking China to arbitration over its South China Sea claims in 2012.
