IATF Set to Discuss Quarantine Protocols as Naga City Seeks ECQ Extension

On Sunday, Malacañang announced that IATF-EID members will meet on Monday to discuss and finalize quarantine protocols for ECQ and GCQ.

President Rodrigo Duterte approved the extension of ECQ in high-risk areas until May 15 and placed moderate- and low-risk areas under GCQ from May 1 to 15.

Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion recommended extending the ECQ until May 15 due to concerns about easy entry and exit along borders with other regions.

The IATF-EID will discuss guidelines for the 'new normal' under GCQ on Monday, focusing on less stringent measures starting May 1.

Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar urged security forces to remain vigilant in areas transitioning from ECQ to GCQ.
