Duterte orders DOH to probe PRC's false positive claims

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the Department of Health (DOH) to investigate reports that Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is producing false positive results for RT-PCR tests.

The investigation comes after Duterte received complaints about inaccurate test results, particularly in Subic where 40 hospital personnel tested positive but later turned negative upon retesting.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine will ensure testing machines yield accurate results.

Senator Richard Gordon welcomed the order and explained that while initial tests were positive, subsequent molecular laboratory tests confirmed these results.
