Duterte to still take 2nd dose of Sinopharm despite withdrawal order

President Rodrigo Duterte will still receive his second dose of Sinopharm's COVID-19 vaccine despite ordering its withdrawal from the country.

Duterte received his first dose on Monday and is scheduled to complete his vaccination cycle 21 to 28 days later, as per Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Roque clarified that Duterte’s second dose will not be returned so he can finish his vaccination process despite the President's earlier directive for China to take back the donated doses.

Panelo, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, also received a Sinopharm vaccine and reported no side effects, urging others with lingering doubts about vaccines' efficacy to get inoculated.
