Robredo questions Duterte's 1-year calamity extension

Vice President Leni Robredo questioned President Rodrigo Duterte's decision to extend the state of calamity due to COVID-19 until September 2021.

Robredo suggested periodic assessments instead, expressing concern about the long-term declaration.

Duterte signed Proclamation 1021 on Wednesday extending the state of calamity for one year starting Sept. 13, allowing use of funds and control over prices of basic necessities.
