China pledges vaccine priority for PH

Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged during a phone call with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte that China will prioritize the Philippines in vaccine distribution if it develops one.

The two leaders also discussed cooperation in fighting COVID-19, emphasizing mutual support and the importance of making vaccines accessible and affordable to all countries.

Duterte assured Xi that the Philippines would not be used for activities against China, while both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations amid global challenges such as the pandemic.
