Duterte: PH to borrow $300M for COVID-19 vaccines

President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Tuesday that the government may borrow $300 million to fund its coronavirus vaccine program.

Duterte acknowledged that securing vaccines might take time as pharmaceutical companies prioritize domestic distribution for their own countries.

The President emphasized that the government will prioritize vaccinating the poor, while those in higher income brackets can purchase vaccines at their own expense.
