Duque gets Sinovac COVID-19 shot, urges vaccination

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III received his first dose of the Sinovac coronavirus vaccine in Manila City on Friday.

Duque, who is under the A2 category and a senior citizen, assured the public that vaccines are safe and effective, urging everyone to get vaccinated.

Despite global shortages, Duque emphasized the importance of continuing the vaccine rollout to save lives and protect public health.

He also highlighted the government's efforts through vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. and the vaccine cluster to secure sufficient doses for 70 million Filipinos.
