DTI urges religious groups to support ban on gatherings

The DTI is urging religious groups to support a temporary ban on religious gatherings in Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to rising COVID-19 cases.

Trade Undersecretary Ruth Castelo stated at a virtual forum that the ban, which lasts for two weeks, aims to protect public health.

Despite this appeal, Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David expressed disappointment, noting that while churches are closed, gyms and spas remain open during Holy Week.
