DSWD provides PHP4.6M aid to oil spill victims in Caluya

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided PHP4.6 million in cash assistance to 570 families affected by the oil spill in Caluya, Antique.

On March 8-9, DSWD distributed PHP3,000 and PHP5,070 per family identified by the local government unit of Caluya as being impacted by the oil spill from the motor tanker Princess Empress.

Additionally, DSWD will give emergency shelter assistance of P5,070 to each of 7,617 affected families in four barangays, totaling almost PHP2.9 million.
