DSWD urges public to spare killer cop's daughter from condemnation

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has appealed to the public to be considerate towards Police Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca's 13-year-old daughter, expressing concern over her trauma.

On Thursday, DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao warned that continued criticism on social media could worsen the child's trauma.

UNICEF Philippines urged the Philippine National Police to implement its child protection policy and uphold the right of all children to be protected from violence.

DSWD previously provided psychological support to Nuezca’s daughter, other affected children, and adults who witnessed the incident in Paniqui, Tarlac.
