MRT-3, LRT-1, LRT-2 extend hours for Christmas

The MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 are adjusting their operating hours during the Christmas holidays to accommodate increased passenger traffic.

Starting December 16, the MRT-3 will extend its operations from 4:30 a.m. until 11:08 p.m., with adjustments on specific days through December 24 and December 31.

The LRT-2 will operate later into the evening from December 17 to 23, ending at 9:30 p.m. from Antipolo Station and 10 p.m. from Recto until December 31.

For the LRT-1, adjusted hours begin on December 20 with earliest operations starting at 5 a.m. and latest departures at 10:30 p.m. from Dr. Santos station and 10:45 p.m. from FPJ station on certain days.

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista stated that trains will operate earlier in the morning and later into the night to offer greater convenience during the holiday season.
