DOT: No stricter travel rules despite rising COVID cases

The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced on Tuesday that it will not implement stricter travel rules despite an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco stated during a press briefing that while supporting health measures, the priority is to continue opening up the country for tourism as directed by President Marcos Jr.

Frasco cited the World Health Organization's declaration of ending the global health emergency and assured that minimum health protocols are in place for tourism establishments.
