Davao starts vaccinating 14,000 tourism workers

Davao City has started vaccinating about 14,000 workers in the tourism sector, which was hit hard by the pandemic.

The vaccination program, dubbed 'Bakuna by the Sea', began on June 30 and will run until July 2 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel Pavilion.

DOT-11 Director Tanya Rabat Tan praised the initiative as an exemplary way to support the tourism industry during these challenging times.

Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat thanked Mayor Sara Duterte for prioritizing tourism workers in the city's vaccination program and commended DATA for organizing a unique vaccination experience.
