Gov't speeds up conversion of ships, hotels into quarantine centers

The government is accelerating efforts to convert maritime vessels, hotels, and other private establishments into quarantine facilities for coronavirus cases.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, who is also the IATF-EID spokesperson, said the DOTr will work with the DOH to identify suitable maritime vessels.

The DOT has been tasked to find hotels in different regions that can be used as quarantine facilities.

The Bureau of Quarantine has been instructed to utilize these identified facilities effectively.
