Dominguez: Philippines to achieve Alert Level 1 by 'onset of New Year'

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III and other economic managers are optimistic that the entire Philippines will achieve Alert Level 1 by the onset of 2022.

They base this optimism on the expected arrival of sufficient vaccine supplies and an aggressive vaccination program starting in the third quarter, which has already led to a significant drop in infections.

Under Alert Level 1, all businesses can operate at full capacity with minimal public health standards.
