DOF chief: Mass COVID-19 tests 'a must'

DOF chief Carlos Dominguez III says mass testing for COVID-19 is necessary but emphasizes the need to build up capacity first.

As of April 1, total cases in the country reached 2,311 with 50 recoveries and 96 deaths.

Dominguez declined to comment on extending the enhanced community quarantine, stating it would be negative for the economy but prioritizes health preservation, financial support for informal sector workers, front-liners support, and economic liquidity.
