DOLE hosts job fair for displaced gaming workers

On January 28 and 29, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will host a job fair at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City to assist displaced workers from the Internet Gaming Licensees sector.

The event aims to connect nearly 5,000 job seekers with employers across various industries including finance, shipping and logistics, food and beverage, retail, and business process outsourcing.

DOLE has partnered with JobStreet by SEEK PH and local government offices to facilitate a seamless application process through a one-stop-shop featuring agencies such as the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG Fund.

Job seekers are advised to bring multiple copies of their resumes and other necessary documents for a faster application process, which can also be pre-registered online.

The job fair is part of DOLE's initiative in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to support workers affected by the ban on all Internet Gaming Licensees.
