DOLE: 'No vaccine, no work' policy unlawful

DOLE-9 reminded employers on Saturday that a 'no vaccine, no work' policy is unlawful.

The department emphasized that any discrimination or termination based on vaccination status violates labor laws and employee rights.

DOLE Labor Advisory No. 3 reiterates that employees who refuse or fail to be vaccinated cannot face tenure, promotion, training, pay, or benefit penalties.

Undersecretary Benjo Benavidez warned employers during a briefing that imposing such policies could result in illegal suspension or termination, making them liable for legal action.
