DOLE allocates P455M for Karding-hit regions' recovery

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has allocated PHP455.6 million for an emergency employment program in Central Luzon and Calabarzon, regions affected by Super Typhoon Karding.

Through the TUPAD program, informal sector workers will be employed for at least 10 days to assist in clearing debris, cleaning canals, and other rehabilitation activities.

DOLE Secretary Bienvenio Laguesma assured continuous support and additional funds if needed, emphasizing enhanced implementation including skills training for beneficiaries.
