DOLE allocates P1-B for workers hit by Alert Level 3

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has allocated PHP1 billion for cash assistance under the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) to help workers affected by Alert Level 3 curbs in Metro Manila.

Approximately 100,000 to 200,000 workers are expected to be impacted from January 3 to 15.

DOLE will provide a one-time PHP5,000 financial aid to formal sector workers and amelioration funds for informal sector workers.

As of now, around 100 employers have applied for assistance, but this number is likely to increase.
