DOJ transfers 8th person of interest in Percy Lapid killing to NBI

The Department of Justice (DOJ) transferred an eighth person of interest linked to broadcaster Percy Lapid's killing from a military facility to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Friday, October 28.

This inmate was previously held at the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) detention facility and is one of several high-profile inmates who were witnesses against former senator Leila de Lima.

The DOJ now has five persons of interest in custody with the NBI, while three are with the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Additionally, on Wednesday, October 26, Remulla announced that four more persons of interest from New Bilibid Prison were also transferred to the NBI, bringing the total number of persons of interest to eight.
