DOH to release COVID-19 booster shot guidelines for 12-17 year olds next week

The Department of Health (DOH) is set to release guidelines next week for administering booster shots to individuals aged 12 to 17.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated that once Secretary Francisco Duque III approves the recommendation from the Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC), the DOH will draft and implement the guidelines.

DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje said during an interview that if all requirements are met, booster vaccinations for adolescents could start as early as Tuesday of next week.
