DOH considers mixing COVID-19 vaccines due to limited supply

The DOH is considering the possibility of administering different COVID-19 vaccine brands as second doses due to limited availability.

According to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the DOH has coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology and the Vaccine Expert Panel on this study.

Currently, only one country, the UK, is conducting trials on mixing different COVID-19 vaccine brands.

Vergeire emphasized that results from these studies are still pending.
