DOH warns 2.4M kids at risk of measles

The Department of Health (DOH) warned that 2.4 million Filipino children are vulnerable to contracting measles and will start a supplemental immunization campaign on October 26.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire attributed the increase in susceptible children to the pandemic, as many parents avoided taking their children to vaccination facilities.

Vergeire emphasized the need for urgent action to prevent a potential measles outbreak among Filipino children in 2021.
