DOH reports 4 new coronavirus cases, 2 deaths in Western Visayas

As of Tuesday, March 31, the Department of Health (DOH) Region VI reported two more coronavirus deaths in Western Visayas, bringing the total number of cases to 22.

The first fatality was a 58-year-old male from Iloilo province who died on Tuesday, and the second was a 60-year-old female from Capiz who passed away on Saturday, March 28.

Both patients were classified as probable cases before their test results confirmed they had COVID-19. DOH is now tracing individuals who may have been in contact with these deceased patients.

On Monday, March 30, the DOH also reported a second death in Western Visayas: a 70-year-old male from Lambunao, Iloilo, who died of complications related to COVID-19 on Sunday night.

The same day, two new cases were confirmed in Iloilo, raising the total number of cases to 20. The patients are a 44-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman.
