DOH releases guidelines for 2nd COVID-19 booster shots

The Department of Health (DOH) has signed and released guidelines for the administration of second COVID-19 booster shots to healthy adults aged 18 and above.

Healthy adults can receive their second booster shot more than six months after their first booster dose, while healthcare workers over 50 and those with comorbidities can get theirs after three to four months depending on the vaccine brand.

Immunocompromised adults may receive their second booster after more than three months from their first booster dose. Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca vaccines will be used for these boosters.
