DOH records 81 new COVID-19 cases; active tally drops

The DOH recorded 81 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the active case tally to 9,087.

This marks the second consecutive day with fewer than 100 daily cases since early 2020 when the pandemic began.

The National Capital Region had the highest number of recent cases, followed by Calabarzon, Davao Region, Western Visayas, and Central Luzon.

Recoveries increased to 3,999,766 with 23 new recoveries, while the death toll rose to 65,968 with 10 new fatalities.

From Feb. 6–12, the DOH logged a total of 1,101 new cases and 98 additional verified deaths from August 2020 to February 2023.
