DOT reminds Manila Bay visitors to follow health protocols

The Department of Tourism (DOT) reminded Manila Bay visitors to follow safety and health protocols as the area opened to the public last week.

Tourism Undersecretary Benito Bengzon Jr. emphasized the importance of physical distancing and adherence to guidelines, noting a survey showing 77 percent of Filipinos still want to travel domestically despite the absence of a vaccine.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) expressed alarm over mass gatherings at Manila Bay, citing concerns about social distancing and the presence of vulnerable groups like children under 21 and senior citizens.
