DOH logs 167 new COVID-19 cases, active tally at 10,109

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 167 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total active cases down to 10,109.

This marks the third consecutive day with fewer than 200 new infections since January 23.

NCR remains the region with the highest number of recent cases at 1,059, followed by Calabarzon (538), Western Visayas (270), Central Luzon (253), and Cagayan Valley (215).

The recovery tally increased to 3,996,422 with 188 new recoveries, while the death toll rose to 65,730.

Hospital bed occupancy slightly increased to 18.7%, with 5,011 beds occupied and 21,733 vacant as of Tuesday.
