DOH logs 1,238 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health logged 1,238 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, December 1, increasing the active tally to 18,412.

This marks an increase from Wednesday's count and follows two days with fewer than 1,000 cases.

The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks, followed by Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Central Luzon, and Central Visayas.

Recoveries increased to 3,954,477 with 884 new recoveries, while deaths rose to 64,658 with 17 new fatalities.

From November 21-27, the DOH recorded an average of 1,147 daily cases, slightly higher than the previous week's count.

The ICU bed utilization rate was at 21.6%, while non-ICU beds use is at 25.2%. The country now has a total of 73,592,319 fully vaccinated individuals and 20,718,469 booster shots administered.
