DOH launches Bakunahang Bayan for child COVID-19 vaccinations

The DOH launched a three-day nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive called Bakunahang Bayan in Davao City on Monday to increase inoculation rates among children aged five to 17.

As of November 30, 48.9% of the target population for ages five to 11 are fully vaccinated, while 112% of those aged 12 to 17 have completed their primary series.

DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire emphasized vaccination's importance as schools reopen for face-to-face classes.
