DOH logs 1,184 new COVID-19 cases, active tally reaches 18,365

The DOH recorded 1,184 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the active tally to 18,365.

This marks a second consecutive day with over 1,000 infections reported.

In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the highest number of new infections (5,792), followed by Calabarzon (2,400), Central Luzon (1,179), Cagayan Valley (744), and Western Visayas (710).

The recovery tally increased to 3,969,634 with 859 new recoveries, while the death toll rose to 64,968 with 24 new fatalities.

As of Wednesday, the country’s bed occupancy rate was at 23.5%, with 6,497 occupied and 21,189 vacant beds.
