Gov't studies validating vaccine passes of returning Filipinos

The Philippine government's task force on COVID-19 response is studying whether to validate vaccine passes of returning Filipinos who got inoculated abroad.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire noted that current guidelines only allow the non-requirement of RT-PCR testing for Filipinos fully vaccinated in the country, but the DOH recommends exempting those vaccinated abroad from testing upon arrival.

Vergeire emphasized that nothing is final yet as authorities study how to verify the vaccination status of incoming travelers who were vaccinated abroad.
