DOH: Vaccine brand disclosed right before jab

The DOH clarified on Thursday that COVID-19 vaccine recipients will still be informed of the brand right before receiving the jab.

A day earlier, a health official announced that vaccination sites would no longer announce available brands to avoid overcrowding.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire and Metro Manila DOH regional director Gloria Balboa emphasized that recipients will know the vaccine brand just before inoculation.

The new strategy aims to speed up the rollout and prevent long queues like those seen for Pfizer vaccines in Parañaque City and Manila earlier this week.
