DOH: Case spikes due to Delta variant not simultaneous across nations

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated that the increase of COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant did not occur simultaneously across different countries.

In Indonesia, the case spike happened around July; for some nations, it began as early as June.

Vergeire noted that while other countries had already passed their surges by September, the Philippines was experiencing its peak during this period when data for Nikkei Asia's COVID-19 Recovery Index was collected.
