DoF orders 24/7 processing for relief goods' tax exemption

The Department of Finance (DoF) has ordered the Bureau of Internal Revenue to process tax exemptions for imported relief goods around the clock.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III directed this measure in response to President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of a state of calamity in six regions affected by Typhoon Odette.

Dominguez informed the president on December 21 that the DoF is ready to quickly process applications for tax and duty exemptions for donated goods from foreign governments and international organizations.
