DLSU honors basketball champs with ring ceremony

De La Salle University held a ring ceremony on Monday to honor its men's basketball teams from 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2016 at the school's Manila campus.

Former players including San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, Renren Ritualo, Don Allado, Mon Jose, and Dominic Uy organized the event to celebrate the silver anniversary of their first championship in 1998.

The ceremony also recognized former coaches Franz Pumaren and Aldin Ayo for establishing De La Salle's Taft dynasty with four consecutive titles until 2001.

Current players were inspired by the achievements of past teams as they prepare to face UP Fighting Maroons starting Wednesday.
