DICT investigates local suspect behind PSA CBMS breach

The DICT is investigating a local suspect behind the recent PSA data breach.

Assistant Secretary Renato Paraiso stated that demographic, educational, and financial information in the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) was compromised.

Paraiso warned against sharing posts or links containing apparent samples of breached data as they may contain malware.

The DICT spokesperson noted that the hacker appears to be motivated by pride and has been boasting about the leak on social media.
