DFA: 4 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos overseas

As of October 16, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) recorded four new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total to 11,145.

Recoveries increased by nine to reach 7,184, while the death toll remained at 811.

The Middle East/Africa region has the highest number of confirmed cases with 7,364 infections, followed by Europe with 1,214 cases.

In Asia Pacific, there are 1,756 cases with nine fatalities and 1,227 recoveries. The Americas have recorded 811 cases with 178 deaths and 466 recoveries.
