DFA: 7k overseas Filipinos to be repatriated in August

At least 7,060 overseas Filipinos affected by the COVID-19 pandemic will be repatriated to the Philippines in August through the DFA's program.

As of August 7, the DFA has brought home a total of 408,911 Filipinos since the program began in February last year.

The repatriates include those whose contracts and visas have expired, individuals with medical conditions, and pregnant women.

Additionally, 202 more Filipinos from Macau were recently repatriated, bringing the total number of repatriates from Macau to 3,995 since March 2020.
