Sen Dela Rosa ready to join Duterte in The Hague

On Thursday, March 13, Senator Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa announced his readiness to join former President Rodrigo Duterte in The Hague if all legal remedies are exhausted.

Dela Rosa reiterated on Wednesday that he is prepared to be arrested by the ICC but expressed hope that Senate President Francis Escudero will protect him until Congress resumes sessions on June 2, allowing him to continue his legislative work and petition before the Supreme Court.

Former President Duterte was arrested by the ICC on Tuesday, March 11, with Philippine authorities transporting him to The Hague for trial.

Dela Rosa, who served as Duterte's PNP chief during the bloody drug war, is believed to be next in line for an arrest warrant and has been actively campaigning in Surigao and Agusan while seeking refuge from potential arrest.

The senator remains steadfast in his commitment to support Duterte if he is arrested, reinforcing his role as the architect and chief implementor of the deadly drug war during Duterte's presidency.
