De La Salle-CSB volleyball teams win, Estoque and Motol named Players of the Week

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's volleyball teams maintained their unbeaten records in the NCAA Season 100 tournament with dominant performances last week, further solidifying their positions heading into the second round.

Wielyn Estoque from the women's team and Rocky Roy Motol from the men's team were named Players of the Week by the Collegiate Press Corps for their outstanding contributions during matches against Emilio Aguinaldo College and Perpetual Help System DALTA.

Estoque led her team to decisive victories with 13 points in a win over EAC Lady Generals, followed by a 17-point outing against Perpetual Help System DALTA Lady Altas, securing the top spot in the women's division.

Motol contributed significantly with his aggressive play, earning recognition for scoring 19 points against EAC and an all-around effort of 17 points, five digs, and 11 receptions in a straight-sets victory over defending champions Perpetual Help System Diliman.

Both players emphasized the importance of teamwork and discipline as they prepare to face Mapua University, who also boasts an undefeated record, this Thursday for the top seed.
