DBM: P46B Bayanihan 2 funds await Duterte approval

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) stated on Thursday that PHP46 billion in funds allocated under the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act are awaiting President Rodrigo Duterte's approval.

These funds include PHP20.5 billion for the Department of Health, PHP11.6 billion for the Department of Agriculture, PHP8 billion for the Department of Labor and Employment, and PHP6 billion for the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado defended the disbursement process, emphasizing that the DBM is not delaying the release of funds but ensuring proper evaluation before endorsement to the President.
