Phivolcs warns lahar flows from Taal, Pinatubo, Mayon

Phivolcs warns of possible lahar flows from Taal and Pinatubo due to Tropical Storm Dante.

Prolonged heavy rainfall may generate lahars in major rivers draining western Pinatubo and muddy streamflows affecting communities in Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga.

In Batangas, lahars and muddy runoff can recur around Taal Volcano, particularly on the slopes west of Taal Lake.

Phivolcs also issued an advisory for Mayon Volcano, warning that lahars may occur along major channels draining the volcano in Albay province.
