Dante leaves P268.5M damage to roads, flood control

Tropical storm Dante caused at least P268.5 million worth of damage to national roads and flood control structures as of June 3.

Damage amounted to P106.2 million in Central Visayas and P162.32 million in Soccsksargen for flood-control structures.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the department deployed 270 equipment assets and 1,569 workers for clearing activities.

In Cebu, the Dalaguete-Mantalongon-Badian Road remains flooded and will be cleared once water subsides; in Eastern Samar, the Wright-Taft-Borongan Road was closed due to possible landslide.
