80-year-old man dies; Dagupan's first coronavirus fatality

An 80-year-old man died on April 2 in Dagupan City due to coronavirus, becoming the city's first Covid-19 fatality.

The victim had no travel history but was exposed to someone who traveled to Metro Manila and was cremated the next day after testing positive at RITM.

Dagupan now has six confirmed cases of Covid-19 with two more PUI deaths, one of whom tested negative for the virus.

Mayor Lim assured residents that health authorities are conducting contact tracing.
