Creamline rallies from two sets down, beats Cignal

Defending champion Creamline staged an impressive comeback against Cignal HD on Tuesday in the 10th round of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at PhilSports Arena.

Despite being two sets behind and facing three match points, Creamline won the match with a score of 26-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, and 16-14, thanks to standout performances from Tots Carlos and Bernadeth Pons.

Tots Carlos scored a new career-high 38 points, while Pons contributed with 13 points as Alyssa Valdez's substitute, helping Creamline avoid being swept by Cignal.

Coach Sherwin Meneses credited his players' patience and adherence to basic fundamentals for the comeback victory, urging them to stay calm and focused during difficult moments.

Creamline received significant contributions from Kyle Negrito with 35 excellent sets, Jema Galanza with a triple-double of 30 digs, 11 receptions, and 14 points, and Kyla Atienza with 28 excellent digs.
