Creamline advances to PVL All-Filipino semis for ninth time

Creamline secured their quarterfinal sweep over Chery Tiggo on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., advancing to the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference for the ninth appearance in this conference and 17th overall since joining in 2017.

Coach Sherwin Meneses emphasized that they expected a tough fight from Chery Tiggo, who are led by players like Ma. Shaya Adorador and Victonara Galang.

In Game 2, Creamline overcame a slow start to win the set 25-21 after trailing early, then clinched their series sweep with a decisive fourth-set victory despite multiple comeback attempts from Chery Tiggo.

Creamline's offense was spearheaded by Bernadeth Pons and Tots Carlos, who combined for 31 of the team's 58 attacks to finish with 18 and 14 points respectively, while Bea de Leon contributed defensively with five blocks and 14 total points.

Alongside early semifinalists Akari and Choco Mucho, Creamline joins the list of teams advancing in the tournament.
