Duque: Punish illegal vaccine sellers strictly

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III called for strict punishment of those involved in the illegal sale of COVID-19 vaccines, emphasizing the importance of protecting the national vaccination program.

Duque questioned how alleged sellers were able to store the vaccines at the required temperature.

On Friday, the DOH reminded the public that vaccines are not for sale following the arrest of three suspects allegedly selling Sinovac doses.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire expressed sadness over the incident and urged the public to obtain vaccines only through government channels.
